Hello and welcome to Green Garden Buzz! You have landed in the right spot. Here we talk about beautiful gardens that are good for the bees, for us, and the Earth.
Like many of you, I am very concerned about the plight of our bees and the health of our Earth. While the news is troubling, there is much one person can do to help the bees and create a greener world. I will be highlighting those practices here.
Gardens can be beautiful and healthy for all. By simply saying “no” to chemicals in your yard and lawn and saying “yes” to organic methods, you give the pollinators a fighting chance. And here is the cool thing about helping the bees and pollinators–we also help ourselves. For if we create a yard that is healthy for the bees, it will likely also be healthier for us, our family, and our pets.
So take a look around. I highlight great flowers for the bees, how-to organic practices, and consumer good practices. I also love to visit great gardens–check out my category Gardens I Love.
Finally you, as a gardener and a consumer, have tremendous power to make this world a better place to live. Let’s find the power of your yard!
Happy gardening,
Christine

A very interesting website. Our garden club recently had a presentation on monarch butterflies. I won’t be pulling out milkweed after hearing that it is important to them. Our garden isn’t big enough to have bee hives but we do attract bees with the many perennials and annuals we have in our flower beds.
Thanks Meg! Keep up the good work in your yard!
Christine
